Frederik Ehrhardt

Frederik Ehrhardt is a writer and producer based in Germany and the United States. He got his industry start as an associate producer for four-time Independent Spirit Award nominee Darren Dean at 3DMC in New York before launching Freud & Ecstasy.
As a producer, his films have screened and won awards at various Oscar-, BAFTA-, and Goya-qualifying festivals, including Sitges, Indy Shorts, Raindance, BogoShorts, Dances With Films, Guanajuato, Screamfest, HollyShorts, FilmQuest, Flickers’, the Pan African Film Festival, and the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
His writing has received numerous honors, including Winner at Final Draft’s Big Break, Grand Prize at HollyShorts and Flickers’, Runner-up at Script Pipeline’s First Look, and finalist placements at CineStory, Stage 32, and the Austin Film Festival.
Frederik is an alumnus of the MIDPOINT Institute, Stowe Story Labs, the CineStory Foundation, the International Screen Institute Vienna, and When East Meets West (HAVC & MIDPOINT Development Award). Since 2024, he has also served as a project evaluator for MIDPOINT’s Series Launch program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, an artist diploma in Screenwriting from the New York Film Academy, and completed postgraduate studies in Entertainment Management at UCLA.
